วันที่ 19 มีนาคม 2567 ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ประสิทธิ์ นางทิน คณบดีคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ สถาบันเทคโนโลยีปทุมวัน พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหารคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ อาจารย์ เจ้าหน้าที่ นักศึกษาร่วมพัฒนาปรับปรุงสวนหย่อมสถาบันเทคโนโลยีปทุมวัน ณ พุทธมณฑล ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ประสิทธิ์ นางทิน คณบดีคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ กล่าวว่า โครงการเกียร์ปทุมวันสืบสานวัฒนธรรม
เป็นโครงการที่จัดต่อเนื่องทุกปี แต่ละปีก็จะมีกิจกรรมเพื่อสังคมที่ผลัดเปลี่ยนไป ในปีนี้

ศรีศิริวัฒน์ รองคณบดีคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ ได้เป็นผู้นำในการจัดกิจกรรมสวนหย่อมพุทธมณฑล” ณ พุทธมณฑล จ.นครปฐม โดยมีการปรับปรุง ซ่อมแซมป้ายสถาบันฯ ปลูกต้นไม้เพิ่มเติมเพื่อสร้างความสดชื่นและดูดซับมลพิษทางอากาศ อีกทั้งตัดแต่งต้นไม้ในดูสวยงาม นายอนันต์วิทย์ คงชื่นใจ
นายกสโมสรนักศึกษาคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ กล่าวว่า
การที่ตนได้มาโครงการนี้ ได้ใช้ทักษะ ทางด้านช่างพื้นฐานต่างๆ อาทิการซ่อมแซมป้าย ทาสี แถมยังได้ทักษะทางด้านการปลูกต้นไม้จากอาจารย์ประจำสาขาวิชาวิศวกรรมเกษตรอัจฉริยะ ได้ลงมือปฏิบัติจริงและสามารถนำไปใช้ในชีวิตจริงได้ นายปฏิภาณ ศรีวิชัยมูล ชั้นปี ที่ 1 เล่าว่า ผมได้ความสามัคคีการทำงานเป็นทีมการวางแผน การรับฟังความคิดเห็น เพื่อให้บรรลุจุดมุ่งหมายที่รวดเร็วสมบูรณ์ในการทำงาน ด้านรองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.อนุชาติ ศรีศิริวัฒน์ รองคณบดีคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ กล่าวปิดท้ายว่า ผมต้องขอขอบพระคุณ ผบ.พัน กองพันทหารม้าที่ 1 กรมทหารม้าที่ 1 รักษาพระองค์ และพี่ๆทหารอีก 8 นาย ให้ความอนุเคราะห์ ด้านรถยนต์และกำลังนายทหารมาช่วยในการดำเนินการปรับปรุงสวนสถาบันเทคโนโลยีปทุมวัน ขอบคุณผู้บริหาร บุคลากรและนักศึกษาที่ร่วมกันดำเนินโครงการจนประสบผลสำเร็จ
